google traffic dropped 20%, but conversion rate goes up

We are US based ecom site, since last Friday, April 27, 2012, we noticed that our google traffic has dropped about 20%, but the conversion rate has gone up about 80%. Has anyone else noticed such pattern? Can this be possibly related to recent google changes?

If your traffic has considerably dropped but your conversions are increased, I would look at your recent content updates or Paid Search campaign adjustments. Take a look at your referring domains and the traffic from them to find out where you've lost traffic and where you've gained conversions.
