You need to be careful. Going too extreme in either direction is generally not smart. If your posts are completely random then it will be harder to develop a strong reputation. If you are too narrow you can gain a reputation for being a master of that area but you will have a hard time coming up with content ideas.
You probably want to do some research on creating a theme for sites or the siloing tactic.

It's not a bad thing itself, but like most things it depends on your methodology.
You can look at a news site to see how to do it well. For instance, if a local sports team wins a championship, the article may very well be placed in both the local news and sports categories. Both make sense, and the navigational structure of the site supports both categories.
What you don't want to do is create all these categories that aren't part of the core flow of your site. You don't necessarily have to work every category into your primary navigation, but they shouldn't be dangling off the side of the site either.

Thanks Guys that is really help full,
let say the following example of categories
Main category (Motivation) Sub category ( Ways to motivate yourself)
Article should be placed option 1 or 2
1) Motivation > Ways to motivate yourself (article)
2) Motivation (article) not sub category

I simply got tired of what search engines were thinking of the category pages with duplicate content and whatever other nonsense and noindexed them.
