is publishing feed content in a web directory OK with Google?

Hello,

I'm running a blog directory where one of its features is publishing feed content on daily basis.

Recently I applied for an adwords campaign but got rejected. The reason: bridge pages.
I don't insist on adwords and I can live with it, but is this ok in terms of google SEO policy?

daniel_o - It probably depends on how much you publish. I'd say that if you routinely publish entire feeds, it's not only not OK with Google, but it's a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (aka DMCA).

For further explanation of why you're not likely to rank with duplicate content, see the discussion that you started yesterday....

Submitting to web directories that also publish your rss feed

In my answer to what I assumed was your question yesterday, I replied...

...it sounds like these guys who are offering to publish your rss feeds are scamming you.

So, if you are "these guys", publishing feeds as a requirement for "free" listings, you are scamming the people you are listing.

Chances are at some point either they or Google, when they catch on, will use the DMCA to force you to take the content down, or else Google will de-list you.

I agree, Google is looking for sites that tend to have more unique content than just RSS feeds and directory listings.

After all, most likely you'll rank better with good unique content on the site (along with the RSS feeds included) than if you were just to have a "thin" site only with RSS feeds.

Do you mean Adwords or AdSense?
