Ranking in Google Plus's people/page search

There's no Google+ forum yet, so I guess this is the best spot :)

Have any of you worked out any logic behind Google+'s internal search?

I have one page which ranks 1st for the term that I'm targeting and getting plenty of followers as a result (up to almost 600 now). I set it up on the first day that the pages became available to me and have been posting to it fairly regularly since then.

Encouraged by this, I started a bunch of other ones. It's been more than a month and there is no sign at all of these new pages in Google+ search. The posts show up. But if you select to search for "people/pages" then they aren't anywhere to be seen. That would make sense if the competition was of some quality, but mostly the other pages that are ranking have very little going for them (haven't posted in ages, very few followers, etc). The ones I have created have more fresh content and regular new followers than a lot of the other pages that are ranking.

Curious to know if any of you have found any patterns with that particular search function?

Hopefully, Google+ won't be around long enough to warrant a dedicated forum. :D

Meh, I quite enjoy it actually. Scratch that, I'm pretty much addicted to it :)

But I'm not really looking to discuss the merits of G+. I just want to know about its search function.
