Can Google Apps account conflict with Authorship display?

I have a Google Apps account which I have setup my Google+ account with.

I have set up authorship markup throughout my two websites and it validates correctly with the Google Rich Snippet Testing tool, but my authorship photo and markup does not show up in Google search results at all.

Nor does a "site" search of my website show any of my pages showing up with authorship notations.

Is anybody else out there using a Google Apps account for their Google+ account and have authorship set up; if so, is your authorship showing up when your authored paged show up in Google search results.

Do you sign in and ask for a personalized search? That's the only way mine shows up. (Fine by me. The photo aspect makes my skin crawl. I just want authorship to be on record in case the world suddenly develops a passionate interest in {make something up} accompanied by mass scraping and claims of "I got here first".)

It tooks weeks for my authorship to show up. How long ago did you set it up?

I've had to setup authorship for about 15 writers over the last few months. I've found that if you submit this form rather than just waiting, it tends to be enabled faster.

My authorship has been set up for months. And I have also used the submission form, twice.
