Hi, maybe someone is familiar with the next problem. In the recent 2-3 days i see specific pages on my sites go out of index completely(if i search for a specific URL the page is not there at all). The PR bar shows the same value as it was before the exit. On some sites the home page gone, on some inner pages.
* All the content is absolutely unique on the sites. The sites are at least 1 year old and being ranked in Google for their keys.

genich99 - The PR bar doesn't show current PageRank. It's generally updated only several times a year, and it wouldn't provide a current indication of how Google is looking at the inbound links to a page.

Have you tried searching for exact unique text strings on the page in quotes? I find that's sometimes (but not always) a good way to see if a page is in the index.

I hesitate to recommend site: search or Webmaster Tools for accurate reports, but they are additional ways of checking

We've had recent discussion about home pages dropping out of rankings, but not out of the index, here... [webmasterworld.com...] I haven't seen anything about other pages dropping in and out.

I've very occasionally (and not recently) had pages drop out for a few days, but they've always come back.

thanks for your answer. I am kind of experienced in SEO, obviously ran all the checks and can definitely say the pages aren't in the index currently. Webmaster tools do not point on anything suspicious or uncommon. Also the PR on these pages (only on these pages) went to 0 now, probably it took a few hours to update to 0. That thing happened across my portals in different languages, on different domains.
The thing is i've never heard of a 1 page manual ban, maybe someone experienced the same issue in the recent days.

If this has just been happening for the past 2-3 days, then I agree with Robert - wait a bit longer before trying to analyze or react. I have seen this kind of thing come and go and I assumed it was some kind of a data glitch on the Google back end.

Google can make errors such as incomplete data ports from one server to another. It really "shouldn't" happen but with as much data as they need to move around, it can.

On the other hand, there can be penalties against just a single URL - or even just one keyword for a page - if the technical signals involved appear over the top. In my experience, however, these have been penalties, not a complete drop from the index.

Did these pages npreviously get search traffic?

small update: on 2 sites the main pages came back to index. On other still no change. Another inner page went out of index in the last 2 hours.

tedster, yep, the pages that went out of the index received search traffic
