Hadn't noticed this before so assume it is new.
Serched for a particular widget which is a physical item marked on a map.
A page on my site is No 3 in SERPS and imediately underneath the description it has a plus sign and link to: Show Map of this particular widget.

It looks as though it should be a link to something on my site but infact links to a Google map of the widget.

My site is the only one in the SERPS that has this link

My page does have a google map on it, though I notice this is missing from Google's preview of my page.

I was thinking of removing Google map from this page to a separate page with a link to it - am more likely to do that now

It sounds helpful to me - could you explain why you see this as problematic?

Well I am pleased to be at No3 in the SERPS but dissappointed to see a link immediately below my description, where you might expect a site link to be, that goes to a Google page that has nothing to do with me.
I guess it is what I pay for the privilege of using a google map on my page.

Ah, now I understand more clearly - thanks. I wasn't thinking that this map had nothing to do with your site except for the coincidence of your site embedding it.

That kind of thing is a sign that the SERPs are not created for webmasters but primarily for the Google user - who often just wants a specific something no matter what website. I can see how it stings a bit!
