I noticed a competitor of mind with a old website, who is ranked #1 or 2 for a very Competitive keyword phrases, has recently removed all his content from his site and is just listing a map search for real estate listing with a generated property list for each area. So there is no original content on his site over 1000 pages.
But his ranking have not fallen at all
on any search engine in 3 weeks. How is this possible?

I would call him and see if you could buy it before it does go south.

The generated list is the content. Real estate is a strange niche. :)

Are you sure he (or someone) hasn't pushed the domain to a parking site? I see quite a bit of that kind of content for discontinued domains.
