Images in Right Side Adwords - no effect on organic traffic

I today saw images in the adwords ads down the right side of the page in my area of business.

I was wondering if these are adwords ads or shopping results ads at first - I think they are adwords ads tho.

It hasnt affected my traffic any (natural from the serps).

Sounds like good news for those getting organic rankings on the terms. I'm surprised, actually - I would think the images would be a bit of an eye magnet and draw away at least some of the traffic.
