Okay, correct me if any of this information is wrong because it was somewhat confusing.

I setup a Google+ Page for widgets. It tells me to connect the page to my actual website by going into the profile and adding a custom recommended link to my website url. Okay, that part done.

Now, they want you connect back from the website to the Google+ Page. Rather than using the java it says (I believe) that you can also 'connect' to your page by linking to it and adding a rel=publisher along with the link.

With that said, I have put a small google icon on the bottom of every page (next to facebook and twitter) that links to my widget plus page in the format :

<a href="https://plus.google.com/somepage#here" rel="publisher">

Has anyone else read into this and does that all sound right or did you see it another way than I did?

Second thing is... one place they say the badge will replace the +1 and another they say to keep both... which is it!? LOL... From the looks of it the badge will be the new standard as it incorporates the +1. Any other opinions?
