Google+ Pages for Business Launched

Direct Connect from Google search
People search on Google billions of times a day, and very often, they're looking for businesses and brands. Today's launch of Google+ Pages can help people transform their queries into meaningful connections, so we're rolling out two ways to add pages to circles from Google search. The first is by including Google+ pages in search results, and the second is a new feature called Direct Connect.

no actually , not if you set it up with a website url - tried it , just to grab the real estate for an important, to me, website.

entered +brandname , website listed #1. logged out etc + private browsimg in firefox.

have you noticed that there's not a single advert on any of the plus pages?
maybe that's just to encourage more people to sign up whilst its still new

actually just investigated circles - its a load of rubbish ( being polite ) compared with fb

The brandname would have to connect their website with Google Direct Connect first, and then it will take a while for the +brandname to work (and supposedly it won't work for everyone; Google is going to pick and choose)

Try your test again in a couple weeks.

Are most of you adding that red badge link (not just the tan +1 js button) to your websites? (Basically it is a simple link to your +1 page that you get when you complete the +1 pages setup)

On the plus side it could add page rank to my +1 page... On the downside it could divert pagerank from mysite's internal pages to google... Could no-follow but that would still lose PR...

Forget about PR...if google can parse links in JS, you still can bleed PR through them. But I don't think this has any big effect these days...
