Internal PR higher than home page - anomaly or OK?

I maintain quite a few websites and I have few cases where internal pages have a higher PR than my home page.

In some cases I know exactly that a specific product promotion caused incoming links to be way higher in number and quality than those linking to the HP.

In some other cases I'm not aware of the same as the above.

Would you just carry on or try to get more knowledge about the background of it and why?

Thanks

Make sure that all internal navigation links pointing to your root home page point to "/" and not to "index.php" or other named index files. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Well, it's probably worth looking into the possible cause, but a small (1-point) difference on the 0-10 scale could simply be a manifestation of an even smaller difference in the actual calculations, since the toolbar figures are rounded off, so I wouldn't worry about it either.
