lately I some how felt that Google moved toward lightening the effect of backlinks in the previous few months (before Panda), trying to get other factors in action.
But after Panda update (not so far in my case, since the website is an Arabic one, and Panda applied to AR websites long later after English).
I noticed in one of Google cctld, that brings the most traffic to the website,for the main Keywords, 3 websites are higher in rank now with the following criteria:
1- websites 1+2: they have thousands of backlinks from many spammy comments pages and links farms (such as pages that contain thousands of links).(plus very bad on-page optimization, full of java scripts that kill the browser!).
2- 3rd website, isn't even Arabic, and ranking higher!(there is not even 1 arabic keyword in the meta of html, while the keywords im talking about are Arabic) but it has same keyword in domain name but in english (we also do!)
Now what im thinking of, and since we are not doing any heavy links back activity (just organic link building, and some directory listing like yahoo), that the links weight is back to affect search results more than before, as if we are going back in time using an older algorithm!
we were occupying those few keywords for years (with no heavy linking), and we used to see those spammy back-linked websites away from first results!, but now they are back.
I reported the spam pages weeks ago, and nothing till now.
So you think this is related to Panda, any one noticed such thing? do you advice me to submit a reconsideration request?
