I'm gonna quit blaming Google - Panda-like scraper results on Bing

I was complaining for months about Google's algo and Panda update which can't determine which site is a scraper and which original, but now I think I should stop doing that. That's because I noticed today that scrapers outrank me... on Bing!

Honestly, I wasn't monitoring closely Bing results. I accidentally saw a pure scraper page with my content on #1 on Bing, and after that checked 10 keywords and for 3 of them scrapers with my content ranked above me. One of the scrapers was a blogspot blog. If there wasn't Bing logo, I would think its post-Panda Google Search.

Now the confusion is complete. Obviously it's not all right to be replaced on any SE by a scraper, but definitely the problem with my Pandalized site isn't Google-only. And I have no idea what is the problem. Is it my fault? Did scrapers managed to game both Bing and Google? Do searchers prefer scrapers over my site? I don't know.

Anyone noticed the same? I'll welcome any suggestion about what I should do.

You're calling them scraper sites with your content BUT are they really mashup sites taking some of your content and adding some from other sources too?

Google LOVES ranking mashup sites highly, in fact Google creates many mashups of their own (news, finance, etc), and as you're finding out now Bing does too.

Look at the top results, many no longer offer their own content. ie: eBay which is 100% user generated ranks tops for thousands of product names. Wikipedia which is all user content did the same for informational. google and Bing both say they despise content farms but they absolutely adore mashup sites(according to the serps), there's a fine line between them.

Forget being original for now, mashup is the way! (so say the search results).

Now excuse me while I ignore the search engines and continue being original.
