Google 404 cache error

why google cache 404 error for this page [dir.yahoo.com ]

see this :

result is

404. That’s an error.

The requested URL /search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=… was not found on this server. That’s all we know.

They're not saying that the URL itself is a 404, only that their CACHE does not have a copy right now. That means the request for a cached copy is 404
