I did a Google search this evening, and at the bottom of page 1 of the SERPs, there was this:

In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at <url bleeped>.

bleeping is mine

the search that brought up this notice was "google analytics ecommerce php"

Isn't this interesting!

I'm pretty sure Google used this approach when they first started supporting DMCA take downs. They also file the information at chillingeffects.org

Seems it's not uncommon.

This has been happening for years.

There's some SERPs where a dozen or more results have been removed from every one of the 100 pages of results.

Even with the mass removals, for some search terms, 950 of the 1000 results are for listings of sites selling fake and counterfeit goods.

Why show the message at all? Google could just remove those results without being vocal about it in the SERPs.
