For some results I see a grey bar and then the country name next to the URL. What does that mean and how do those URLs get them?

For example when I search for "Windows 7",Ii find the second and third result from Microsoft displaying this grey bar and then "United States", next to the URL.

At first I thought that this could be related to geo-targeting but then I see the same results ranking highly in most Google domains.

Does anyone know what are they and how to get them?

It is simply because, webmasters associated their website geographic target users to US in their Google Webmaster Tools.
