Google Panda 2.4 rolled out, now with all languages ! (except chinese, japanese and korean)

[googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com...]

Today we’re continuing that effort by rolling out our algorithmic search improvements in different languages. Our scientific evaluation data show that this change improves our search quality across the board and the response to Panda from users has been very positive.

For most languages, this change impacts typically 6-9% of queries to a degree that a user might notice. This is distinctly lower than the initial launch of Panda, which affected almost 12% of English queries to a noticeable amount. We are launching this change for all languages except Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, where we continue to test improvements.

For sites that are affected by this algorithmic change, we have a post providing guidance on how Google searches for high-quality sites. We also have webmaster forums in many languages for publishers who wish to give additional feedback and get advice. We’ll continue working to do the right thing for our users and serve them the best results we can.

it has definitely been re-run - on April 11, May 10, June 16 and July 23. In fact, the last two in particular saw previously devalued sites finally rebound.

OK, but I'm puzzled about why I wasn't hit at all by the update for other languages. I assume that the update includes all those changes that were previously released for English, including those introduced in February. Am I right, what do you think?

i have not seen much change to my sites since sometime in april, but Im working on a new site now, which I would also recommend others to do, be cause we still have no real clue how panda works, its sad but we dont make sites for users anymore we make sites for google. Manny changes google suggest is not always the best for the users.

Anyone seen another Panda update on the 30th / 31th of August? Rankings dropped across the board and I am no baffled if it has something to do with our homepage relaunch (not side wide relaunch) or if Panda visited...

I haven't checked the rankings, but we had a traffic drop on those days. UK site.

@imbckagn: what timezone were you in? We got hit at around 11pm GMT on the 30th.

@johnhh: was it a temporary traffic drop? I'm in Germany for that matter, could be an European update...

Still going on at the moment, may be just normal churn or testing prior to Panda 2.5.

I'm on the East Coast U.S.A. I'm still seeing some minor fluctuations across 20 different websites but for the most part it seems to have settled down for me.
