WMT reporting wrong numbers for Links to your site

i just noticed that WMT is reporting wrong numbers under "Links to your site" section. It is not reporting links to the domain root and most pages on the site. This seem to coincide with a traffic drop in the past few days. Any ideas on why or when would this happen?

WMT is very prone to errors and glitches. This year alone there have been several large issues with WMT. I would not rely on WMT for accurate backlink data.

I've never seen back link data in WMT anywhere close to reality for any of my sites.
