Expired Domain Traffic

Hi all,


A couple of weeks after I started a website about green widgets, I found that a similar website about green widgets was expiring.

So I participated in the auction and won it (by the way, which cost me a lot ;( ).


It seems like the website used to receive nice search engine traffic.


I'm wondering whether I should

a) revive the old website and just link to my main website.
or
b) redirect all traffic to appropriate pages on my main website

Any advise will highly appreciated

I would have thought it was worth doing a full assessment on inbound and outbound links, too.
Also, if you haven't already, take a look at it in the wayback machine and see how it might have developed over time.
