Estimated earnings up, then down the same day - Panda gone wild

I feel like Panda has me in it's jaws and is forcefully shaking it's head from side to side. It's not a good feeling.

The past week, there are some days when I check my estimated earnings that the amount is almost 50% lower than when I checked the hour or two before. What's going on?

When Panda hit my site, traffic went down about 50% and earnings dropped close to 70%. Then on or about the 10th of June, there was some recovery. Traffic was up and Adsense income went up about 40% of the post-panda daily earnings. Now there is no consistency from day to day.

Everything is so erratic it's discombobulating to say the least.

Sounds like a reporting problem with Adsense (I assume you're talking about Adsense) may be in the mix - that's not something we track here in the Google SEO forum, but there is a thread in the Adsense forum that might be useful: June 2011 AdSense Earnings & Observations [webmasterworld.com]

That's almost a perfect summary of this moment in Google rankings, at least for the entrepreneur. I wonder if things might even stay like this now (shudder!)

Sorry, yes, I'm talking about AdSense. Thank you for the link. I'm glad I'm not alone (I think).

Well, if that's how it's going to be for a while, I better hold on my seat.

Bottom line, I'm disappointed and a little shaken, but I'm still glad I'm making some money to pay bills.

What you're talking about has nothing to do with Panda; Google recently made some changes to the way that they report AdSense and tally invalid clicks - and they announced people would likely see more fluctuations throughout the day. I know I have. There's an item about it here.

Thanks Netmeg. I missed that post.
