I'm sorry if this has been mentioned, but I'm seeing a brand new look to Google Profiles. When you're logged in and you click your name at the top right of Google's home page and navigate to your profile, it looks completely different.
I think this might be the next step of the +1 button we all know what rolled out a couple of days ago..
Not only does the profile page look polished compared to what it was, but one thing I noticed is when I go to edit my profile and select my education, it has an ajax-powered interface that looks very much like Facebook did until recently when they changed a bunch of their profile features.
There are a ton of new fields to fill out on your Google profile and one thing that caught my eye was the "Places I've visited" which resembles some popular Facebook apps. There's also a "looking for a relationship" field which reminds me of dating sites.
Boy, what is Google becoming? A dating site? A social network? For those that were wondering what the +1 was heading towards... this just might be a hint.
