Hoplink Ranking Top Five In Google

Recently in a niche I follow a website that is a clickbank product has rocketed from nowhere to the top 5. The fact that this website is in the top five is a joke in it's self but what really get's me is the URL structure.

The websites hop URL is what ranks: www.url.com/?hop=0

This is a very competitive niche and it weird that this website is ranking especially the hop URL. Has anyone else seen something like this?

No one has jumped in on this, but it sounds like the kind of ranking oddity that we've seen mentioned a good bit in recent weeks. I'd be surprised if any of them last very long, but there may be some kind of evidence showing, temporarily at least, about how Google is processing things and changing the ranking algorithm - most particularly in how they "test" things.
