Hi,

While checking over a site of mine today I noticed that there was over 5,000 pages indexed when reality it should be about 300.

It turns out I got exploited by this bad boy - [derekfountain.org...]

The hack was dynamically creating thousands of spam pages with junk content, hunderds of internal and external links all over the shop.

I have cleaned everything up and locked everything down, but when I logged into webmastertools I saw this-

How on earth do I deal with that! Surely my site is seen as a huge spam network by the big G?

If you removed all the bad files and the links now point to a URL that is 404, Google should clean it up.

If you do see an apparent penalty show up in your rankings, that's what the Reconsideration Request tool is for. Just send the details, including the security steps you too to lock things down.
