I have just noticed two search boxes on google.hr. The one on the top is an usual one we normally see. But there is another one at the bottom, below the pagination.

The top one shows Google suggest as you type, the bottom one does not.

If you search for something and enter it in the search box on the top, after you click on "enter" and scroll at the bottom, the bottom search box has the same content you entered in the top box, but you can then refine the query directly at the bottom search box.

Here is the image: [i53.tinypic.com...]

I used google.hr, but using the English language. Tried the same on few other country specific Googles, but did not get double search box.

If you turn off Google Instant the bottom search box will appear. I assume Google.HR here does not have Instant on.

Thats the way I've always seen it on Google..well at least since I can remember ( on either the dot com or the dot fr )..even with Instant on.

I just tried it again for shoes to be sure, with Instant on...got just like your screencap aakk9999

I get this behavior using English language or French..

So it's old news obviously! Interesting that I have not spotted it before, or might not have paid enough attention.

It jumped on me yesterday because I searched for something that there was only 1 result so with two search boxes and no pagination the screen looked really strange with two search boxes wrapped around one search result.

I normally have instant on because I keep clearing the cookies and am fed up to keep going to preferences and changing it - which is probably also the reason why spotted it before.
