I have seen many fellow webmasters complaining about their content that have been scraped. The solution in order to stop that new fashion is very simple.
If you are using feedburner modify your feeds with a summary of your content and a teaser with a written link back to your blog or site (no html allowed)
Go to feedburner click on the Optimise link and at the menu to the left go to Sumarry burner and modify your feed.
I hope that helps those that don't yet know this option.

It's one step, and a good one if you are challenged by scraped versions of your own content outranking your own URLs.

Of course, there are many other ways that your content can be scraped, by why make it so very easy - right?

Hi Tedster, of course they can scrap content by copy paste from your page but the most of them use auto blogging software and with short feeds you are secure. I imagine that if everyone use this way the auto scraping eventually will disappear.

Sorry guys, this won't slow them down much if any.

I watch bots hit my RSS feed then grab every link from that RSS feed.

All you've done is annoy people reading your feed, the scraper bots could care less.
