Should all WordPress onsite duplicate content be blocked?

As all of you guys are fully aware that Wordpress is full of duplicate content issues.

Do you think all the sites running Wordpress should block all the duplicate content ONSITE coz of Panda?

Panda has something to do with ONSITE Duplicate Content? I believe It has!

A post example.com/a.html is duplicated in Wordpress in :

Tags
Category Pages
Archives Pages
Sub pages (example.com/page1) etc....

Everything duplicate should be changed to "noindex"?

Also, If the guys running wordpress sites show comments on all pages in the sidebar (say all those comments have combined 300 words) and all those comments are duplicated across the domain, Panda can treat it as a duplicate content on all pages? I see several wordpress sites showing "Recent Comments" in the sidebar. Can they get flagged for that?

- Noindex is not a a good solution imo.
- Use one of either tags or categories but not both imo.
- Sub pages make sense if you have a lot of content in a tag or category, use them but choose a good pagination solution beyond just a "next page" link.
- on category/tag pages display a snippet while on actual articles give the full content if you're worried about duplicate content.

Just a side note, you can search for a portion of text from any page and if Google returns your articles and not your tag/category pages your site is fine, Google figured out what's important.
