There's a fantastic interactive animation on Google's home page today, with various mouseover areas triggering actions.

I initially thought this was Flash but it isn't - all the frames are sprites (PNGs) and a mix of CSS and Javascript is driving the animation.

You can see one of the images at [google.co.uk...] - and from this you can see that the sprites are shared.

Does anyone know of any software that helps you do this?

There are also penguins :)

Now what if they're male and female...

There is a big one and a little one ..and pandas are just about the most difficult animals to breed in captivity ..and in the wild they don't do so well at breeding either..they are also slow to grow ..

You ought to be safe from there being more of them for awhile .. but the big one is rolling around a lot.

@Leosghost: I'm wondering if Google has an plugin like pagespeed to get them to breed faster...... pandaspeed?

When you mouseover the right one, the panda falls on his (her?) back laughing at you...

love it. I hope the two penguins aren't a sign of things to come. One jumps really high then dives off the iceberg lol
