How will a canonical tag affect the Adsense bot?

I wasn't sure which forum was best to post this in, but I figured I was more an SEO question than adsense.

How will the canonical tag effect adsense?

I am about to implement a canonical tag across a large number of pages. Users won't always see the canonical version, in fact, more often and not, they won't.

Will this effect the adsense bot and ultimately my earnings?

Just to clarify what you might mean by this... are you saying that the pages are all subtly different in some way and you're using the canonical to have them all seen as the same page?

Or, are you saying that you have a lot of canonical problems?

I purposely have these pages that subtly differ. Users requested the site to work this way. But they are essentially duplicate.

I want to use the canonical tag, but concerned my adsense ad, on the pages, will suffer.
