Has Panda hit the UK?

The reason I ask is that we have lost a consistent 25% of our daily traffic for the last 3 days running.

It could be holidays but after 10 years stats, we have not seen this before.

Thanks,

Andy

Not sure but our traffic tailed off last Wednesday/Thursday. Dead today, hoping it is the school holidays but as you we have years worth of data & have not seen it this bad.

Have you been able to find out which query-term/URL combinations are the ones suffering from lower Google search traffic? That kind of a data refinement would give you a better idea of what's happening for your website and give us a better idea of how to discuss it.

Perhaps it could be a glorious sunny and warm weather we had in UK in the last 3-4 days?

Same for me - rankings on major searches unchanged but numbers down around 20 or 30% for the whole week. The weather is supposed to break this afternoon so we'll see if it picks up for the rest of the week.

We've got some seriously compelling inhouse evidence that it's weather.

Can't share much with you but don't be surprised if high street retailers in your sector saw a direct uplift at your expense.

Same here - i have looked at all data in other sources and can see similar percentage falls (CPC was actually the most significant at just over 30% - no changes made before you ask). Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I think it is a combination of school holidays and fantastic (unusual) weather.

@Tedster - We have some of the devs looking in to our traffic in more detail but there are that many phrases, it is hard to see just by looking - we are talking many thousands.

@everyone - Check your webmaster tools "search queries" for last wednesday. We have a day which google reports zero searches, which is clearly wrong. It made us wonder whethe, when they were doing an algorithm update, the search queries data was lost or not recorded for a day. Suspicious that this happened on the exact same day we noticed a drop in traffic...
