Since April 6th there have been a significant decrease in visitors (50%! approx.) from Google Images (.com, .es, .com.mx...) on my sites and others... ¿You also? ¿Panda update affects images? ¿Other changes in algorithm or interface?
Thanks and sorry for my bad English...

The algorithm for images works differently than the algorithm for web pages, so Panda probably didn't cause your loss of image traffic.
If the algorithm for images changed significantly, a lot of people would notice it.
Also, some websites have lost image traffic because their images were stolen and re-published on other sites, which siphoned off some of the traffic.
You need to analyze all the available information to try to determine what happened?

The image thumbnails shown on Google are bigger than ever, you really don't need to click through to a site to get a good look anymore. The traffic drop might be attributable to that.
edit: I see thumbnails up to 328px wide as I write this.

Something else I've noticed when trying to use Google Images lately...
At least 50% of the sites I try to click through end up either:
1. Giving me a virus/spyware 2. redirecting me to a page that doesn't actually contain an image.
This has always been a problem, but I'd say it was only about 20% of the time.

Several sites have been affected losing ~50% of Google Images traffic. I think they are interface changes: the size of images or that Google has down the position of the block images in the results ...

Well , probably I'll be the one who will tell you bad news:
Due algorithmic changes after and before April 6 , Google Images become more strict with kids-safe browsing and literally pushing millions images from moderate SafeSearch to SafeSearch off mode.
So, if you have inappropriate images or images with inappropriate words you got probably pushed into SafeSearch off mode.
If you think that your website might got this penalty , you can write me here or post on google forum ,I'll help as much I can .
