Still ranking on top position but search traffic is dropped

Since start of March or you can say the Panda Update, my search engine traffic specially from Google is dropped by 20% in US server.

My main keywords are ranking on #1 position but the search traffic has been dropped by 15-20% per keyword, they also include the country name.

Is there anyone facing same problem? any Suggestions?

yes you got that correctly, and its positive in yahoo but negative in google and bing.

It's hard to make sense of a continued #1 ranking with a 20% drop in search traffic. Has the results page changed? More ads at the top, Video onebox, News onebox? If something like that gets added it can draw eyes and clicks away from the #1 organic spot.

no result page is the same, there is only one google ad on top and no video box, it is only image result box which was coming earlier as well.

I know its awkward to hear 20% traffic drop even your keyword ranking on #1 stop but i am facing it, let me know if you have any suggestion or case study of the same, so i can do something about it.

Is it possible that google is showing different titles and that is affecting click-through rates?

Can you ask your friends and family to search for the keywords and make sure that google is showing the same page TITLE to all of them?

searched from different different ip's and countries, no change in the title and description but just analyzed two new ads are popped up on right hand side g ads bar.

Check WMT Search Queries report for the ranking position (change). It will also give an idea of number of impressions/clicks on each ranking position if there is a change.

are any of your 'main' keywords now ranking lower in Google Instant suggestions? We had a similar issue and eventually noticed a couple of big terms for us had bumped down a couple of places.

well i already checked it, impressions has some positive fluctuation but clicks are going downwards.

I think there is a reason of Description.This should very attractive when it come to appear in Google.Because Having a very good description is the key point to get traffic.

@chrism: my most of the main keywords are ranking on same places where they were ranking earlier. Two keywords moved 2 places down but it is not a huge issue.

@Anna: Thanks Anna, you are right at your point but earlier i was getting good traffic consistently, in fact the traffic was increasing since Dec mid on those terms with same old description.
