When I change the results per page from 10 to 100, I see one site that has the first three entries. When the results are set to ten, they only have one entry.

I was just curious what other think this means. Do you think this means they are not just #1 but a super solid #1? Impossible to take that top spot away?

When you change the results back to ten per page they go back to one spot on page one, but then they have a different page from the same site show up on page two for the same term.

Google is simply clustering results. It does not mean anything special and has been this way for a long time. It is never impossible to take away a #1 ranking (unprofitable maybe but not impossible).

Google has been making many changes to how they cluster search results. It can be very profitable to build out many pages and to spread the link love to get Google to list multiple pages from your site in the top ten. You can now control a large % of the top ten real estate. Of course that will diffuse the link love to your primary page which might not be a good idea.
