I'm running a personal blog on wordpress.com.
Site started a month ago; I posted lots of original articles, but nothing seems to increase blog visits. Sometimes seems that some posts are indexed in real time, and I get just few visits on them, but this lasts just for the day. Then, I return in the dark...
Does google deprecates just wordpress.com blogs?
something is wrong with wordpress.com subdomains?
really difficult for me to get off the ground...

I have never seen any research to show Google devalues blogs that are hosted on wordpress.

Depending on the search term Google may give preferential rankings to more recent webpages. Which would explain why you have some short term success. If you are having trouble with ranking you may want to look at your backlinks for the site and the individual page. Backlinks are a significant part of the google ranking algorithm.

ps If you host your wordpress blog on your domain you can gain some extra control which can be helpful. It is not always necessary to do so. There are many wordpress.com blogs that rank very well.

Brand new site? I see even well-established, well-trafficked sites waiting a month or two before Google updates their information.

Some highly-trafficked sites may get Google Love on a daily basis but for the rest of us I'm sorry to say you'll have to wait for them to spread it around a little when they find the time...in my experience.

well, I don't need to get google attention on a daily basis, but at least a minimum of consideration...
seems that my posts are completely transparent to ggogle eyes at the moment.
The most visits I got was 30 in a whole day, just some hours after published a certain post, and some "peak" of 10-15 visits on other posts. Currently I'm getting an average of 2-3 or even 0 visits per day...
From wordpress.com portal very very rare entries...
