Hey guys, I need your opinion regarding the fact that on March 10th all my rankings went down to pages 4, 5, 6...
Also by doing a search for domain its on pages 4, 5, 6..

Which leads me to believe its a penality placed on my network of blogs, I run about 51 blogs, almost all of them got penalized except for 8...

They all have adsense on them, 4 of these blogs i was optimizing and added all adsense ads to the header on march the 1st, so that might of triggered it, but why would the whole network be affected, unless google thought its a link farm....If any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Red

Yea man, it might be that the site are under same Class Cs, also if you have a links page and too many ads all in the header, thats all i can think of

I am not sure it's an algorithmic penalty.
An algorithmic penalty should effect a single site that triggers some filter but here we have a group of sites that share some feature like server and adsense pub id that got a penalty.
it seems something manual to me and if it's manual it will not go away after 90 days.

Out of curiosity, why do you think their algo couldn't detect a similarity in server, c-block or AdSense id and assign a penalty to more than one site?

it surely can.
but in my case the penalty has not been assigned to all sites hosted on same server and with same adsense id but only to some of them so i think it's something manual

I don't think its manual, google detects patterns, things add up, if some were not affected its because google did not detect the wrong doing...

I have friends who have 6 blogs etc not affected...

I doubt its someone from google, one of my shops was affected 2 weeks later and it has no adsense but on same server.

Thanks for the clarification, mark79 ... The way you posted before I read it as a 'blanket' statement and not situational, and I wanted to make sure it was clear to other readers, so thanks for the clarification ... It's appreciated!

any updates on this issue. Did you ever manage to recover? I'm experiencing the same issue. Several sites all with the same adsense ID hit with what looks like a -50 penalty
