Hi All,

Yesterday when I was checking my index pages in Google then i found that my website home page was de-indexed by Google. Also, my all rankings were disappeared on Google.

I checked the source code of my home page and found <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"> was appearing in the source code. I am not sure how it was added to my home page. I immediately removed this meta tags from the code.

I have re-submitted the xml site map of the site in GWT.

Just wanted to know till when my page can re-indexed in Google.

What are the other steps should I take to re-index my home page in Google at earliest.

Also, how long it will take to get my rankings back on Google.

Thanks in advance

Usually they pop right back where they were within a week of removing the noindex from the tag in my experience, so my advice is just wait ... It's a 'nothing fancy necessary' to fix it thing.

I am more interested in how the meta robots was changed. You might have a security issue on your hands. You may want to keep checking to make sure only the right people have access to your site and that no other accidents were made.

Was this a Wordpress based site that someone recently installed some form of SEO plug in?

A few plug ins are known to use NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW as a default.

Also be sure to check your robots.txt file too.
