I know it's a tough one to ask but maybe someone on this forum knows the answer.
We have many copyrighted videos on the site and others scrape the code and use our bandwidth to play them on their sites. The script looks like this:
----------------------
<embed src="http://www.mysite.com/videos/player.swf" width="362" height="204"
bgcolor="#000000" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
flashvars="file=http://www.downloadhdvideo.com/videos/clip.flv&autostart=true&controlbar=false" />
-----------------------
I know there is no link to any page of the site but the videos are located on our server where the actual URL is shown. I have researched for some time and found that Google doesn't have the .flv URLs in the search results. That would mean that nothing goes as a credit to the original source of the video.
It seems not fair for a top search engine to neglect this scenario.
Any thoughts?
