Hi,

One of my country specific subdomain was cannibalizing my main domain's serp standings. due to various reasons, dupe content from main subdomain one of them.

I redirected 301 all of my subdomain's landing pages to my main domain around 4-5 days back. But subdomain itself is still intact.

Do you think it will help restoring my serp standings?

How long will it take for google to reflect the changes?

My site is not affected by latest google's change, thank God.

It sounds like the subdomain's circulation of link equity is now pretty seriously broken - so the subdomain's rankings may suffer a good bit.

The main domain certainly could show some improvement. It would depend on the individual page backlink profiles and how severely the circulation has been compromised throughout the subdomain.

How long? Major 301 surgery often needs to go through a significant period of trust checking. In some cases, it can take a few months to see all the effects. It is also possible that the trust algo might decide not to trust them all.
