Cache Date will be different from Google index date?

because recently on 23rd FEB 2011 I updated my Site Meta tags, updated meta tags are appearing in the Google SERP, but when I saw the cached date its showing 21st Feb 2011 and old snap shot.

If regarding this already their are threads, provide me the link

Sometimes Google is slow to update the cache. It doesn't affect the SERPs.

Sometimes the cache date evens goes backwards. But that is not reflected in the SERPs either. And it's very common for several crawls to happen in between changes in the cache. In short, index date and cache date can be quite disconnected.

The database used for generating the snippet, the database of content used for deciding ranking/placement, the database used for showing the title, and the data stored for showing the supposedly "cached" page are all updated at different times, and are almost never in sync.

It's quite common to rank for new words recently added to a page, even though they don't appear in the cached page, for example.

There are many other permutations. Some only become apparent if you study these things in detail in the few weeks after editing a page.
