Silolinks - Google is Showing Sitelinks for Subsections

Maybe this has been happening for a while, but it's new to me.

Google is displaying sitelinks for one of my strongest categories - and those sitelinks are specific to the category, that is, they are subpages of the category page.

This seems significant as further evidence that Google is treating silos as sort of mini-sites within a site. It also seems like an indication that I'm on the right track with my information architecture, as Google seems to clearly understand the theme of this section.

Anybody else see these? How long has this been going on?

Webmaster tools shows all the pages on your site that may have site links. I currently have three pages on one site that have site links.

In my case, besides the home page, I have two rather random pages that have site links. I believe that Google is primarily basing their descision to show site links on pagerank and click through rate.

Its great that the sitelinks are complementing your site well. In my case, even the home page site links are pretty random. I don't have clear categories that would be important. I'll take the site links because it gives me more SERP real estate, but if I were google, I would probably disable them for my site.

Yep, they're in WMT. That's awesome. I've never had these before.

Mine seem to make sense, they are on my two biggest categories and link to some of the most important subpages in those categories.
