Hi,

One problem can somebody can answer me

We make the redising of multilanguage site before 2 weeks also we put new version of joomla 1,5

In webmaster tools we didnt change the sitemaps (we fix that in 2 days) and from then our other languages home pages droped from google exepct english (real home page) wich remain ok.

Englesh version and home page is ok, also other subpages on all languages are ok and have ranking like before

Also I saw that google catch our other langugaes keywords (like italian) that are optimized for Italian hom page and had ranking before and now showing that result for home page (english)

In goole webmaster tools I see google can see the links.
Also they suggest me what to do in Page Speed suggestions for sites that missing but I cant find that pages in google.

Hello gilespi, and welcome to the forums.

Two weeks is a short time for Google to take care of all those URL changes. It will usually take longer to index all the new pages correctly.

Many ideas for technical things for you to check are discussed in this thread: Site Relaunch Checklist [webmasterworld.com]

That probably has something to do with it, more than the design.

If you're changing the text and the link text on the page there's no telling if or when they will return to their previous positions. I would recommend keeping the text the same on the pages and especially the link text, until the new design is crawled and indexed, then change those, so you can do it slowly and see what happens on a more one-page-at-a-time type schedule.

If that's possible it is.

BTW Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld gilespi!

I agree with tedster. That seems like alot of changes for Google to handle in two weeks. To be extra safe, you may want to look at your website error log to make sure these changes did not accidentally break anything.

Hello,

Thank you for your posts...

I wait some time to see what is hepend and the next thing is going.

After redising of pages in January Google get back most of pages... but most imortant pages didnt get back( language home pages)

All of that pages have PR3 but nothing.
Before one month google find duplicate page with same content Joomla somehow made and I redirect that content to real home pages and nothing again..

Please can somebody give me more info what to try?

Thank you
