Doubts about duplicate content with new algo

Starting from Feb 2th my website went down from 3000 unique visitors a day coming from google to 1000. I read here that Google algo has changed recently, about spamming, duplicate content and quality.
My website is 9 years old and it has always been number one for its main keywords (home page). Now the home page is number 6.
I never changed the title, description and content of home page: it is the same from 9 years ago. Backlinks come naturally to me and I own an affiliation program that helps webmasters to share money with me.
I have h1 and h2 on all pages, because, you know, 10 years ago the trick was that.
So I searched for duplicate content and I saw that for some text of my home page I rank number 2, or sometimes I do not appear.
There is only one blog that copied all my home page (other websites copied 2 or 3 rows of text). That blog page has been created on Apr 2010 (my home page is there from 2002).
Do you think the problem is this duplicate blog content or removing it I will not get anything because the algo is tired of me?

Are the sites that copy you the same ones that now rank - that is, they now rank for query terms that you used to rank for? Or have different sites moved above yours, not the copycats?

No they are not. That blog that copied my home page does not appear in ranking for my principal keyword.
That means this is not the problem?

[today new movements in ranking: the first is number 4, me from 6 to 7 and the first is a new entry never seen in top10]
