Hi guys,

I've got a co.uk domain and my server is in London. The website targets the UK market and under Geographic target in my GWT says: "Your site's domain is currently associated with the target: United Kingdom"
Why than this site would rank for the same keyword better in South Africa (google.co.za) than in UK? Actually the quantity of non UK traffic I get is appr 50% - why would G rank my site so well in countries where I don't want to show my site at all?. This is a 100% wasted traffic and I have no idea what to do about it. I'll appreciate any advice :)

A couple of years ago Google decided that several of my UK hosted .com sites were from South Africa no matter what I did, I even moved them to a US host at one point to see if that would make any difference, eventually I let them lapse since it was pointless trying to make G understand they were not from South Africa.

I've seen so many crazy things for the last 2 weeks - nothing from Google's actions could surprise me any more! Traffic from the south pole, internal pages jump from 3th page to #1 in 24h... obviously they are trying really hard to improve those search results.
