hi guys,

often i need the only the serp in english language.
problem is i use one of localized versione of google (google.de, google.ft etc)

so when i search there in "saerch the web" serp are mixed with localized versione and english version.

Before the interface update i could easly bypass this by select english in the search preferences, but this is not working more.

Are there anyway to show up only english results when i "search the web" and of course if i select "pages in [lang]" i can easly filter results in the localized language?

the fact i have to write again
1 google.com
2 select Google.com in english
3 type again my key phrase
hurts me, while i could instead switching between "search the web" and "pages in [lang]"

thanks all

Go to the main page of the Google you want to use and click on the "advanced search" link next to the search box. You'll be able to select a language filter there.

I use this all the time:

[google.com...]

Plus you can also get a Firefox extension called Google Global to search the Googles of USA, UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia.

Any good to you?

@rainborick:

good one. filtering in advanced search pops on left side the choice between:

"search the web" and
"search [localized] pages"

Too bad if u swtich between them this selection disappers.

take this link:
[google.com...]

with the param lr=lang_nl it shows under "search the web" search dutch pages.

Are there any way to keep this menu on left side even if I click on search the web? It would be great for me and very time saving.

Thanks

@husky:

i use chrome
