Can backlinks on pages called /links hurt rankings?

Can links on webpage that say www.webpage.com/links hurt the ranking of a website ?

anything is possible, depending on the circumstances.

if a website is in a "bad neighborhood" and its part of a malware network then i wouldn't want my link to be on its links page. if a small business has a links page with 100 other random websites already listed on it, then i likely wouldn't bother trying to get my site listed but i also wouldn't worry if they proactively listed my site.

google is aware that sometimes people try to sabotage their competition. they try hard to not make it easy for people to sabotage their competition. google is more likely to devalue a link then it is have those links pass negative value.

i have seen examples of sabotage so i am not going to say all link pages are 100% safe but personally i dont worry too much about link pages.
