I have a problem with my new site. Any help is appreciated.

Yesterday I sent this message to Google (via google.com/webmasters/tools/reconsideration):

"Google has not indexed my new site. The reason is that this domain was registered by someone else and it's expired 7-8 months ago. I know how to get a new site indexed by Google in a few hours but this site don't like to get indexed. Please index my new site, thank you."

There are tens of external links pointing to my site.

Hello Jonathan - and welcome to the forums.

WebmasterWorld doesn't publish members website URLs or offer public "site reviews". That kind of thing is only offered in our paid Supporters area - so I'm afraid dilemma can't answer your question.

I think that dilemma has done the right thing - essentially Google does sometimes "block" a domain from being crawled because of something a previous owner did. It's the right approach to start with a reconsideration request explaining that you are a new owner.

Maybe not.

If whoever had it before got the site blacklisted with Google, it will never show up.

I ran into the same thing and it's been over 2 years and I'm still waiting for Google to index it even after numerous reinclusion requests explaing I was the new owner, blah, blah.

You might have to start over with a new domain name if you want it in Google.

Though you say the domain expired 7-8 months ago, you don't say how long your new site and new links have been up.

How new is new? Are you distinguishing between indexed and ranks? Is your content unique?
