Issues if entire site is in SSL?

Hey guys,
Have a site that I am working with that it was previously built with every page in SSL. That's how its indexed and anything that is non-ssl meaning http:// is all 301 redirected to https:// There are not many links to the site so not worried so much about the previous links to it being an issue.

But wondering if there is any issues going forward with having an entire site in ssl and not just the checkout process like I am used too?

Does it mean the site will be slower for users/search engines when browsing 10-20 pages?

Could it cause any other seo issues?

As far as I know, speed would be the only issue - and for now site speed is a pretty minor ranking factor. Going forward there are no guarantees about that, of course.

the more complicated you make things the more likely things will go wrong with google crawling & ranking you pages. ideally you want your site to be as simple as possible for them to crawl. that being said there should be no seo issue with a secure url.

i think its more likely you will have usability issues, especially if you use any content from non-secure sites on your pages.
