Links from cobranding sites, good or bad?

If you have an ecommerce site with products and you reach an agreement with other site to show them on theirs, like affiliate or something.

Therefore on the other site there is some of your content and links ponting to the product pages of your site.

Does Google see this OK? should they put nofollow on all of them? Can this harm or benefit the SEO of your own site?

Thanks.

there are many wesbites using the same data feed (many affiliates do this). you will not get banned for doing this.

google will filter out the duplicate versions out of the serps. hopefully google will filter out your partner pages but sometimes it keeps the partner pages and filters out the source page. you want to make sure your pages are stronger and have unique content to avoid this. many affiliates forget to add value to the data feed and thus have a hard time ranking with duplicate content.

if you can get your partner to add canonical tags, that would be great but i doubt they will agree to it.

Thanks goodroi for the fast answer.

One last question: those links pointing to our site, if they are dofollow, could be dangerous if they are too much and Google sees them as spam links? could help for the indexation of our product pages?

those links could be dangerous and they might not. it depends on the situation. lets say you have no other backlinks and gain 100k links overnight. that sudden change is not the safest move.

ps make sure your pages have unique content & are properly interlinked if you want to boost the indexation of them
