when to resubmit sitemap

I have a site having XML sitemap of about 80,000 urls. I am updating my sitemap on daily & weekly basis. Do i need to resubmit sitemap to Google on daily basis or Google automatically checks it?

Google will periodically fetch your sitemap automatically. For such a large site, as long as you keep the sitemap file updated on a reasonable schedule, it should get fetched frequently and given a good deal of weight in determining the crawl schedule for your pages.

You can only have up to 50k urls in a single sitemap.

try to keep it to under 50,000 of your most important URL's. No need to resubmit, if google knows about it, it will crawl it again. Sitemaps are very over rated as well, dont waste too much time on them.

Google may or may not index all your pages despite the sitemap. It is only considered a "hint" to Google.

I have sitemap index having 2 sitemaps. One having 50,000 and other 30,000 URLs.
