Drop in traffic... due to server move or Google?

Hello friends,

I follow the forum daily, but this is my first participation.

And I have a serious problem, with a major loss of traffic, and each day has fallen more.

It follows last approximate numbers:

7-Monday: 27k visits
8-Tuesday: 26 k visits
9-Wednesday : 24k visits

Normally this day I have around 30k to 33k visits.

The only thing changed in recent days was the server, and I made two changes to servers and ip's in the past 15 days.

Will this change in servers generate a problem with Google?

If so how to fix?

Or was it just an update of google? Anyone else seen declines in their sites?

Any opinions or help will be important.

* Sorry about the English, because I have no fluency in the language yet.

with just a small 3 day sample I would not panic quite yet. Make sure your DNS are all set properly, I once had an issue where I was losing about 20% of my traffic because many people cant access my server due to the DNS not being setup properly.

Is all of your traffic from search engines? How much search engine traffic are you missing?

I would wait at least a week more before you start to panic, it could be nothing.

Holiday season is coming, unless your site sells holiday stuff, it will be quieter than usual.

I've seen some drops in traffic on my clients sites, it's hard to tell whether is seasonal, or whether it's algorithmic. I wonder if 'Places' rolled out more extensively? Has anyone else seen these drops?

Compared to just a couple of months ago I'm more than 20% down across the board with both traffic and AdSense. Quite simply it's not been the same since a few days before Thanksgiving.

I usually get normal traffic until the week before Xmas and then 10-14 days of yo yoing, according to my records this is the worst end November/December run up to Xmas I have seen.

FWIW our B&M business is very busy with current production potentially sold out for all of 2011.

Devil's Advocate - Could this possibly be the FaceBook effect? Are many of those users going nowhere near the regular WWW these days?

I saw drops from Mayday, and drops from Black Wednesday, both heavily documented... These past few weeks have been terrible, and at least someone else is seeing something similar (HuskyPup)...
I have to think its Places or other algorithmic changes, I doubt Facebook is eating up this much traffic, tbh.
Any other webmasters noticing a particularly terrible november/december? Is this widespread enough to warrant another update name? (I've always wanted to name one of those)...
